Tamil Hockey League 2026 | Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium, Chennai | 17 August 2026
Day 8 belonged to Pool B. Integral Coach Factory continued their perfect start with a 5–2 win over Dhyand Veerans. Then came the drama. AGORC appeared to have their match under control at 4–0, before Pattabiram Strikers struck three times in the closing stages.
Final score: AGORC 4–3 Pattabiram Strikers.
Fourteen goals. Two very different matches.
And a Pool B table that is beginning to ask some serious questions.
INTEGRAL COACH FACTORY 5–2 DHYAND VEERANS
ICF are two from two. And they are beginning to look like a team worth watching.
Dhusal Kumar scored twice from open play. Pruthvi G M converted twice from penalty corners. Kiran Kumar added another field goal.

Dhyand Veerans responded through M Vetrivel and Muhammed Kaif.
But ICF had already done enough. The important number is not five.
It is six. Six points from two matches. Nine goals scored. Four conceded.
Maximum points, with plenty of hockey still to come.

Star of the Match: M Vetrivel (No. 14 - DHV) awarded by Satish,Ex IcF-Captain
There was something noteworthy about that choice too.
The Star of the Match came from the losing side — recognition of an individual performance even on a difficult afternoon for Dhyand Veerans.
AGORC 4–3 PATTABIRAM STRIKERS
For most of this match, the scoreline told one story. Then the final quarter told another. Chiran Medappa struck twice for AGORC. Veerathamizhan C struck twice. AGORC were 4–0 ahead. It looked finished. Pattabiram disagreed.
Ranjith R scored in the 51st minute. Sandeep Yadav converted a penalty corner in the 55th. Then another in the 56th. 4–0 had become 4–3.

Suddenly, a comfortable AGORC victory became a fight to reach the final whistle.
AGORC held on.Pattabiram lost the match, but their final-quarter response may prove just as important psychologically as the result itself.

Star of the Match: Shahanul Shafas (PTM) awarded by Olympian Thirumavalavan.
WATCH DAY 8
Match 14 — ICF vs Dhyand Veerans
Match 15 — AGORC vs Pattabiram Strikers
POOL B — NOW LOOK AT THE TABLE
Pos | Team | P | W | D | L | GF | GA | GD | Pts |
1 | IOB | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 11 | 2 | +9 | 7 |
2 | ICF | 2 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 9 | 4 | +5 | 6 |
3 | AGS | 4 | 2 | 0 | 2 | 12 | 16 | -4 | 6 |
4 | PTM | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 4 | 4 | 0 | 3 |
5 | FCI | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 4 | 6 | -2 | 1 |
6 | DHV | 3 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 2 | 10 | -8 | 0 |
The table needs context. IOB lead. ICF may have the stronger position.
Indian Overseas Bank have seven points from three matches. ICF are only one point behind — having played one match fewer.
More importantly, ICF are the only Pool B side with a 100% winning record.
AGORC have also reached six points, but they have required four matches to get there and carry a goal difference of -4. That makes their three points against Pattabiram extremely valuable. Then comes Pattabiram. Three points from two games does not leave them out of the conversation at all. And their three-goal fourth-quarter response against AGORC suggests there is considerably more to come from this side.
FCI remain within reach with one point from two matches.
For Dhyand Veerans, the equation is becoming much harder: three matches, three defeats.
The match Pool B should already be looking towards?
ICF vs Indian Overseas Bank — Wednesday.
First against second.
Seven points against six.
Unbeaten against unbeaten.
That one could tell us a great deal about who really controls Pool B.
Rela Hospital THL: 90 GOALS AND COUNTING
Day 8 took the tournament to 90 goals from 15 matches.
That is exactly six goals per match.
The scoring split now stands at:
50 Field Goals · 33 Penalty Corners · 7 Penalty Strokes
Day 8 itself contributed 14 goals — 10 from open play and four from penalty corners.
And one name moved again in the individual scoring race. Veerathamizhan’s brace takes him to four goals. Chiran Medappa’s two goals take him to three.
Dhusal Kumar and Pruthvi G M now have two each.
Sandeep Yadav also joins the two-goal group after scoring twice from penalty corners in the space of two minutes. The Golden Stick race is getting crowded.
TOMORROW: BACK TO POOL A
Tuesday, 18 August shifts the attention back to Pool A.
2:30 PM
SM Nagar vs GST & Central Excise
For SM Nagar, this is becoming an important match.
They are still searching for their first points after three defeats.
GST have three points from three matches and need a victory to remain in touch with the leading group.
For both teams, three points would change the mood considerably.
4:00 PM
Sports Hostel of Excellence vs Southern Railway
This is the one to watch.
Southern Railway currently sit at the top end of Pool A with six points from three matches. Sports Hostel also have six points — but from only two matches.
Something has to give. Southern Railway have already shown they can score.
Sports Hostel have started perfectly.
A Sports Hostel victory would give them nine points from three matches.
A Railway victory would move them to nine from four and put immediate pressure on everyone around them.
This is no longer simply another pool fixture.
It is an early test of who wants control of Pool A.
THE LEAGUE HAS CHANGED
Eight days in, the tournament feels different. Teams are no longer introducing themselves. The table has begun to remember every result. A missed penalty corner matters. A fourth-quarter collapse matters. A goal scored when a match appears finished matters.
Even the difference between losing 4–0 and losing 4–3 may eventually matter.
That is what happens when a league begins to mature.
The hockey becomes less about individual evenings. It becomes about position.
And from here, every match moves somebody.
