On an unusually rainy and cold day in Porur, Dhyand Veerans put on a hockey clinic against the Hockstars, winning the game 10-0. The game was delayed for an hour due to rain, but it did not stop the Veerans from dominating the match from the start.
The first goal came from Laxman Karan in the 7th minute via a penalty stroke, and Sanjay Xalco scored a field goal in the 12th minute to make it 2-0. The Veerans continued to pile on the pressure, with their Dragflick specialist Prithvi scoring a drag flick from a penalty corner in the 18th minute. Sanjay Xalco scored three more goals in the 21st, 55th, and 59th minutes, completing a hat-trick. Barla scored in the 44th minute, and Dhillepan scored twice in the 45th and 55th minutes. Captain Laxman Karan scored a screamer in the 48th minute, tearing the net in the right corner. Tete with a stunner in the 57th minute.
The Hockstars midfield played with grace and produced some brilliant counterattacks, but they were unable to break through the Veerans' defense. Despite the scoreline, Hockstars captain Somesh was proud of his team's efforts, saying, "We knew it was going to be a tough game, but we never gave up. We'll come back stronger from this."
