Porur Gears Up for High-Octane Hockey Action Starting August 10th
With the hockey season kicking in and India's remarkable performance at the Olympics inspiring the public, fans, and players alike, the excitement is palpable. The recent Reserve Line Tournament in Madurai and the upcoming MCC Trophy in Chennai have set the stage for an exhilarating season. Hockey fans are now eagerly awaiting the 2nd edition of the Tiruvallur Premier League (TPL), organized by Hockey Tiruvallur. Matches kick off on August 10th, 2024, at the NPV Ramasamy Udaiyar Hockey Centre, Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Porur. This season promises even more excitement as eight premier teams face off in a round-robin format, showcasing some of the best talents in the region.

Format: Round Robin
Match Schedule:Saturdays (2 matches at 14:30 and 16:00),
Sundays (4 matches - morning and evening),
with additional matches on Independence Day, 15th August 2024.
Match Duration:4 quarters of 15 minutes each with breaks.
The previous edition's success was largely due to the dedicated officials from the Chennai Hockey Association, whose professionalism was instrumental. This year, we are excited to see their continued support and also hope to include some junior officials from our district to nurture local talent.
