After 10 days of pulsating hockey action, the stage is now set for the Super Six of Tiruvallur Premier League 3.0. The pool stages gave us nail-biting draws, high-scoring thrillers, and heroic comebacks. Now, six giants march into the second phase, where every pass, every save, and every goal carries the weight of qualification.

🌟 Clubs’ Journey – Fighting Spirit, Bright Future

This season also saw Hockey Tiruvallur’s young club teams SM Nagar Hockey, Pattabiram Strikers, Dhyand Veerans, and Moscow Magic, lock horns with the institutions.

While they didn’t progress beyond the pool stages, the exposure was invaluable:

  • SM Nagar showed flair and speed, pushing some big names till the final whistle.

  • Pattabiram Strikers had moments of brilliance, including comeback wins that kept crowds buzzing.

  • Dhyand Veerans displayed raw fighting spirit and resilience, proving they belong at this level.

  • Moscow Magic lived up to their name at times, with crowd-pleasing counterattacks and never-say-die hockey.

Their journey may have ended early, but the message is clear, these clubs will return hungrier and stronger in TPL 4.0, carrying forward the heartbeat of community hockey.

🎶 The Atmosphere:

From the stands echoing with “Hockey Thaan Hero”, to passionate fans waving flags of their teams, TPL 3.0 has already turned into more than a league – it’s a movement to put Tamil Nadu hockey back in the limelight.

🎤 Voices from the League

Padmashri V. Baskaran, League Director & Olympic Gold Medalist:

“I am proud to see youngsters from Tiruvallur stepping onto the same turf as our top institutional teams. This league is not just about today’s winners, it is about preparing tomorrow’s champions.”

Moghul Mohammed Muneer, Technical Director of TPL:

“Organising such a large league is never easy, but when I see clubs fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with institutions, I know Tamil Nadu hockey is alive and kicking. The clubs will come back stronger, and the institutions now know they cannot take them lightly.”
